Water is life; it is necessary for living, yet Pakistan suffers major obstacles when it comes to having access to safe and clean water. A significant portion of the population experiences water scarcity despite the country’s abundance of major rivers and tiny water reservoirs. These factors include rapid population expansion, insufficient water management, and climate change. Water scarcity is a particular problem in some areas, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Tharparkar, Sindh, and Cholistan.
The Foaz-o-Falah Foundation is dedicated to offering long-term solutions for water scarcity in underserved communities while taking health preservation into account. Specifically in rural areas like Tharparkar, Cholistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, southern Punjab, and Balochistan, our projects include solar-powered hand pumps, water pumps, water filtration plants, and tube wells. Our goals are to enhance community health and guarantee a steady supply of safe drinking water, particularly in regions where water is scarce. These initiatives unquestionably represent a significant and continuing act of kindness.
We provide priority to the most vulnerable groups, including women and children, who are disproportionately impacted by waterborne illnesses, using an emergency priorities framework. Lack of access to clean water is another reason for the exponential rise in liver and kidney disorders over the last 20 years. However, as a result of Foaz-o-Falah Foundation’s efforts, there has been a noticeable decrease in waterborne diseases, including reduced child mortality, and gradual improvement in health conditions in remote rural areas.
